Kornikovs Timber Studio, Hawk Run PA
Every board, shelf, and serving piece starts as rough lumber — usually sourced from specialty mills and local estates — and gets worked down by hand and machine in a one-person shop in central Pennsylvania.
No veneer, no MDF, no shortcuts. The wood you see is the wood you get: real grain, real figure, real character from a real tree.
Pieces are finished with food-safe oils and waxes. Cutting boards get multiple mineral oil flood coats followed by a hand-rubbed beeswax cream. Display pieces get a dewaxed shellac seal and a hard wax oil topcoat.
Lumber is tracked back to its origin — specialty mills, local estate sales, and private collections — never commodity stock or big-box supply chains.
All cutting and serving surfaces are finished with mineral oil and natural beeswax — no film finishes, no chemicals you can't pronounce.
Solid wood throughout. Dimensions are listed as finished sizes. What you see in the photo is what you receive.
Walnut pieces are labeled — please disclose to anyone with tree nut sensitivities before use on food-contact surfaces.
